Dubsmash finally shut down, Project Canary raises $111 milion

So long Dubsmash

Dubsmash, which was acquired by Reddit for an undisclosed amount back in 2020 in an attempt to make it the top short video-sharing app, is finally shut down. Reddit pulled the plug and took Dubsmash off app stores on the 22nd of Feb 2022 after absorbing most of its functionalities.

Cars24 offers ESOP buyback for $9.9 million

Cars24, an e-commerce platform to sell pre-owned vehicles has announced an annual ESOP buyback for $9.9 million. Cars24 has led four annual ESOP initiatives, totalling $17.2 million. This decision came after the unicorn raised $400 million in a Series G in December 2021.

Increff raises $12 million in Series B

Mumbai based SaaS startup Increff has raised $12 million in a round led by TVS Capital Funds, Premji Invest and Binny Bansal’s 021 capital. The company plans to expand to the US and Europe, while also offering a wider range of products and services.

Project Canary raises $111 million

Project Canary, a climate and environment assessment tech has raised $111 million in a Series B round led by Insight Partners and saw participants such as Brookfield Growth, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. The company plans to scale its solutions and expand to new sectors in an attempt to reduce methane usage.
