Anrok raises $4.3M in funding led by Sequoia and Index

Anrok, a startup working to build sales tax software for SaaS companies raised $4.3M in a funding round led by Sequoia and Index. The startup will be using the funds to solve tax for SaaS companies. 

Michelle Valentine, CEO of Anrok, said that Anrok will help to solve problems that make SaaS tax issues more complicated compared to other products. 

Bengaluru-headquartered SimpliContract raises $1.8M in a seed round led by Kalaari Capital

AI and SaaS-based contract lifecycle management platform SimpliContract raised $1.8M in a seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital to expand its engineering efforts, AI research and marketing. 

"We are seeing significant interest and adoption in the market within a few months of launch. SimpliContracts AI-driven platform supports over 4,000 enterprise users and manages 30,000-plus contracts worth over USD two billion in value," says Guru Venkatesan, CEO of SimpliContract.

BrowserStack valued at $4B after closing $200M in series B led by BOND 

10-year-old Indian startup firm BrowserStack becomes a unicorn valued at $4M after closing $200M in a Series B funding round led by BOND. The startup operates a giant software testing platform with 15 data centres across the world and a repository of over 2,000 devices. 

The company wants to use the funds as an aid in becoming the testing infrastructure of the Internet and will be open to more acquisition opportunities. 

Denmark-born Templafy raises $60M in a Series D led by Blue Cloud Ventures

Denmark's Templafy, a B2B SaaS platform oriented towards creating business documentations raised $60M in a Series D funding round led by Blue Cloud Ventures, raising a total of $125M to date. 

“The platform that we’ve built is very enterprise-focused, so it is agnostic to use case. It’s really about helping employees produce pretty much any type of business document or content that they need to have, allow them to start from any application where they work. It might be Office or Google but it could also be Salesforce or Teams or Slack. Others are very vertically focused against particular use cases, for example around sales. We are horizontally focused and helping out on a series of use cases across large enterprises.” - Christian Lund, founder of Templafy.

Insurtech automating insurance platform Akur8 raises $30M in Series B

Akur8, an insurtech AI startup, raised $30M in a Series B funding round led by an undisclosed investor to support international expansion. The company is used by actuaries and pricing teams for better insurance pricing decisions.

The fresh capital will be used by the startup to accelerate the transformation of insurance pricing further, expand internationally in the US and APAC and equip P&C and health carriers with its integrated pricing solution. 

Fresha raises $100M in a Series C round led by General Atlantic

Fresha raised $100M for its beauty and wellness booking platform and marketplace. This Series C round was led by General Atlantic. Fresha is a multipurpose commerce tool for independent wellness and beauty businesses that provides a completely free subscription platform to these businesses to schedule bookings from their customers.

Fresha plans on using the fresh capital to expand its market in more countries, to grow the categories that use its services and build more complimenting services. It is also open to more acquisitions to expand its customer base.
